adidas founder adolf dassler and his brother rudolf first went into business in 1924 under the name dassler brothers shoe factory. following a breakdown in the relationship between them adolf created adidas whilst his brother established puma. adidas is now the largest sportswear manufacturer in europe and second largest in the world.

the current adidas originals logo was formerly used on all adidas products. it was only in 1997 that the trefoil was replaced with the performance logo. this brand covers sports fashion styles and has a distinctively retro vibe.
