in 1994 girl team members and owners rick howard and mike carroll were about to embark on a skate tour. they suddenly came to the realisation that there wasn’t enough space in the van for a good friend of theirs, chico bernes. the rest is pretty much history, the initial idea was to be able to house more skaters after girl saw such a quick growth within its first year and it wasn’t long before chocolate had a team that could hold its own as a sister company.
